Value and Importance
1. We aim to keep qualified Detroiters protected and in control of their affairs while they are living.
2. We see the need to make legal education and services more accessible so that we can assist homeowners to create and pass on generational wealth.
3. In educating and executing these legal documents, we are taking steps to prevent the issue of a growing number of Heirs’ Property in Detroit, and in doing that we help to create healthy neighborhoods, help people avoid the need for probate, advance racial equity, and bring money back into the City.
Let’s Collaborate!
Is your organization interested in hosting a free estate planning workshop for your community?
We offer engaging, attorney-led workshops that include a 1.5-hour presentation followed by a Q&A session. These sessions help residents understand essential estate planning tools—like wills, Ladybird deeds, trusts, and powers of attorney—and are designed to be informative, accessible, and community-focused.
Let’s work together to empower Detroit families with the knowledge they need to protect their legacy.
*Submitting a message or attending a workshop does not create an attorney-client relationship. Legal services are only available after completing our formal intake process and confirming eligibility for limited-scope representation. *
